During the U20 World Championships in Slovakia, Hong Kong China Wrestling Association and the Kazakhstan Wrestling Federation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen cooperation and create new opportunities for the future of wrestling.

This important partnership will focus on athlete and coach and Referee development, Education, Wrestling Academy and joint event, sports science, and the use of innovative artificial intelligence programs in athlete development, performance analysis, training, and education.

The agreement will also promote women’s empowerment by creating greater opportunities for women and girls to participate, lead, coach, officiate, and build careers within wrestling and sport.

During the meeting, Mr. Masoud Niazi, Chairman of the Hong Kong China Wrestling Association, and Mr. Yerkin Okassov, Chairman of the Kazakhstan Wrestling Federation, exchanged views on this historic collaboration and its long-term vision. Both leaders expressed their hope that this partnership will benefit athletes, coaches, educators, institutions, and wrestling communities in both countries.

Mr. Niazi highlighted Kazakhstan’s strong progress in wrestling development and sports education over the past decade. He expressed his confidence that Hong Kong, China can learn from Kazakhstan’s knowledge and experience while also contributing its own ideas and expertise.

This MOU is more than an agreement. It is a commitment to education, innovation, inclusion, women’s empowerment, and the responsible use of technology to support athletes and strengthen the future of wrestling.

Together, we will develop people, expand opportunities, embrace innovation, and build a stronger global wrestling community.
