UWW Style:
Wrestling under United World Wrestling (UWW) is a global sport built on skill, power, and respect. It’s divided into three Olympic disciplines:
Freestyle Wrestling: Use both arms and legs for attack and defense.
Greco-Roman Wrestling: Upper body techniques only — no leg holds allowed.
Women’s Freestyle Wrestling: Fast, dynamic, and inspiring — one of the most exciting developments in modern sport.
How to Win:
• Score points with takedowns, throws, or exposing your opponent’s back to the mat.
• Win automatically with a pin (fall) — holding both opponent’s shoulders on the mat.
• Outscore your opponent by the end of the match, or win by technical superiority (leading by 10 points in freestyle or 8 in Greco-Roman).
• Always show respect — win or lose — that’s the wrestling way.
