The 20th Asian Games will be hosted in Aichi–Nagoya, Japan, from 19 September to 4 October 2026. Wrestling competitions will take place at the Inabari Sports Center in Minato‑ku, Nagoya, from 30 September to 3 October. The program includes men’s freestyle, women’s freestyle, and men’s Greco‑Roman events. This marks the first Summer Asian Games in Japan since Hiroshima 1994, with 41 sports and 461 events overall. Wrestling is expected to be one of the highlights, featuring top athletes from across Asia, including Olympic champions and rising stars. The competition will serve as a key milestone on the road to the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics, offering athletes and coaches the chance to test themselves against the strongest nations in the region.
Hong Kong China Wrestling Association (HKCWA) Selection Statement
As a member of the Sport For All Confederation, HKCWA must follow the criteria set by the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC) regarding athlete selection, nominations, and the appeal mechanism.
All athlete lists nominated by HKCWA will go through the Sport For All Confederation, SF&OC, and the Selection Committee of the Hong Kong Government. The final decision rests with these bodies.
The confirmation of nominated athletes will be officially announced by the Sport For All Confederation and HKCWA, and published through official channels and websites for public transparency.

Subject: Announcement of the athlete list eligible to represent Hong Kong, China in the wrestling event at the 2026 Nagoya Asian Games.
In accordance with the regulations of the Olympic federation of Asia (OCA) and United World Wrestling (UWW), and following the completion of local selection and eligibility review procedures in Hong Kong, the following athletes have qualified for participation:
1. Wong Ching-shing Isaac-Freestyle men 57 kg
2. Li Wui-fung Vincent-Freestyle men 97 kg
The above-named athletes will be submitted to the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC) and the Asian Games Organising Committee for final approval. Any objections must be submitted in writing to this Association (HKCWA)within 7 days of the date of this announcement.
